Leisure facilities
The leisure places directory allows one to manage a catalog of facilities and institutions which can then be searched by a number of different criteria. The directory can organize these places into different regions, so that users can limit the results of a search to a desired region up front, with the assistance of a map.
Additional content pages are managed directly with this Module, because administration is consistent and everything can be changed in one place.
After the base module was generated, additional functions were added manually. These include an enhanced search, and the ability to output a PDF file containing the details of an individual facility. In addition, Google Maps has been integrated to enable the application to display precisely where a facility is located.
This application replaced an existing stand-alone system, therefore it was necessary to import that application's existing data. Further information about this project can be found at the website as well as our corresponding reference site.
